I’m currently a college basketball player, and this year could very well be my last. That’s something I’ve had to really think about.

As a young Black adult, I’ve always understood the importance of discipline, growth, and creating opportunities for myself. Basketball shaped my mindset early on — how to stay consistent, how to lead, how to push through tough seasons, and how to perform under pressure. Those lessons didn’t stay on the court. They became part of who I am.

At the same time, I’ve been figuring out who I am outside of the game.

Creativity started small for me. I began streaming and editing videos just to stay productive during downtime. Over time, I realized I genuinely enjoyed creating / designing logos, editing photos and videos, and eventually building websites. What began as curiosity turned into something I cared enough about to change my major to graphic design and fully commit to it.

KTC Creative Studio grew out of that transition — the space between still playing the game and preparing for what’s next.

I approach design the same way I approach basketball: with structure, focus, and intention. But more than that, I care about building real connections. I don’t just want to send a design and move on. I want my clients to feel heard, involved, and confident throughout the entire process. Clear communication matters to me because I’m not just trying to complete projects — I’m trying to build relationships.

My goal is bigger than creating good designs. I want to build a community around growth, creativity, and people who are serious about what they’re building. Whether it’s a brand, a business, or a personal vision, I want the people I work with to feel like they’re part of something — not just another transaction.

Right now, I’m balancing both arenas — the court and creativity — knowing that one day the game may end, but the mindset won’t.

And that mindset is what drives everything I’m building.
